Plan Your Visit to Richwoods Christian Church

You don’t have to know what you believe before you come.

Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years, are just beginning to ask questions, or aren’t sure what you think about Him at all, there’s room for you here. We believe God has a purpose in bringing people together, and we’d love the opportunity to know you, hear your story, and help you recognize where He may already be at work in your life.

What to Expect at a Sunday Service

What happens during a service at Richwoods?

Services begin with worship through music and include biblical teaching, communion, prayer, and space to respond to what God may be doing in your life. When someone is being baptized, we’ll celebrate their story together too.

Services begin promptly at 8:30 and 10:30 AM and typically last about 75 minutes.

What should I know about communion?

We take communion together every Sunday. You’ll find single-serve communion cups outside the Worship Center to pick up on your way in. Anyone is welcome to participate or simply use that time for personal reflection. Gluten-free communion is also available.

What should I wear to church?

Whatever you’re comfortable in. There’s no dress code at Richwoods.

Do I need to bring anything?

No. You’re welcome to bring a Bible if you’d like, but you don’t need one to participate in the service, and there’s no need to register before you come.

When You Arrive at Richwoods

Where should I park?

You’re welcome to park anywhere in the Richwoods parking lot. Parking can fill up around our 10:30 AM service, so additional parking is available next door at Green Chevrolet.

Which entrance should I use?

Either one. Both front entrances lead into the Commons, where you’ll find greeters who can point you in the right direction. You’ll also find coffee and tea, places to sit and connect, and entrances to the Worship Center.

What time should I arrive?

If you’re checking kids in for the first time, we recommend arriving about 15 minutes early. Otherwise, come whenever you’d like before the service begins—grab some coffee, find a seat, or spend a few minutes in the Commons.

Worship begins promptly at 8:30 and 10:30 AM.

Bringing Kids to Richwoods

What ages can attend Kids at Richwoods?

Kids at Richwoods is available for children 8 weeks through 5th grade during both Sunday services. When you arrive, look for the giant tree in the center of the building. That’s where you’ll find Kids check-in.

How do I check in my kids for the first time?

Start at the desk next to the tree, where we’ll collect the safety and emergency information we need to care for your child well. From there, we’ll help you get checked in and find your child’s age-specific room.

We recommend arriving about 15 minutes before service on your first visit so you don’t have to rush through the process.

What will my child do during the service?

Kids spend their time in age-appropriate environments created specifically for them, with biblical teaching, worship, games, and activities. Most importantly, they’ll hear about Jesus in ways they can understand.

Can my child stay with me during the service?

Absolutely. Kids are always welcome to join you in the Worship Center. We also have a nursing room available for families who need it.

What accommodations are available for kids with special needs?

We want to help every child participate in a way that meets them where they are. Sensory supports are available, and our Buddies program can pair children who need additional support with a one-on-one buddy.

If your child would benefit from additional accommodations, we encourage you to contact our Children’s Ministry Director, Cortney Rixner, before your visit. Together, you can talk through your child’s needs and make a plan that helps them feel supported and set up for a great morning.

Let's Connect

Accessibility at Richwoods

Is Richwoods wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Accessible parking, entrances, and restrooms are available. Inside the Worship Center, designated wheelchair spaces are located throughout the room so you can sit alongside the people you came with rather than being limited to an aisle or separate section.

If there’s anything we can do to make your visit easier, contact us before you come and we’ll be glad to help.

Do I Have to Be a Christian to Come?

No. You don’t have to believe what we believe—or even be sure what you believe—to walk through the doors. Wherever you are, we’d love to know you and hear your story or simply make space for you to listen and learn.

Will I be singled out as a visitor?

No. You can remain as anonymous as you’d like. If you want to meet someone, ask a question, or learn more about Richwoods, stop by the Connection Point before or after service.

Do I need to register before I come?

No. Just come.

Still Have Questions?

Every first visit looks a little different. If there’s something we haven’t answered—or something we can do to make your visit easier—our Campus Pastor, Alyssa Wier, would love to hear from you.
