Serve Saturday

On the Saturday before Easter we will have an opportunity to serve alongside our mission partners. For those of you who don’t know, we partner with six great organizations. Here’s how we plan to serve them on Saturday, April 4.

• Pathway Ministries helps to house the homeless and teach them about Jesus. Details are coming soon!

• Dream Center Peoria also works with the unhoused population, providing mobile shower units, a food truck, and hair salon, in addition to care and support. We will be playing games with both children and adults, and then serving them a meal.

• Adult & Teen Challenge walks alongside men through a one year program of sobriety. We will be working alongside their men to renovate a new facility they purchased in Peoria that provides them with more beds to support more men.

• Southside Christian Academy is a K-8th school in the heart of the south end.

• One of our newest mission partners is Crittenton Centers, which is home to a Crisis Nursery, doula services, and parent support resources. We’ll share details as they’re finalized.

• The other new partner is Centerpoint Community Church, Richwoods’ church plant in the East Bluff. We will be hosting a huge Easter Egg Hunt to reach the children and families of the East Bluff.

Our bold prayer is that 400 people will volunteer to support our community. The heart of “Serve Saturday” is for families to work together, linking arms and hearts with our mission partners. Join us to be “For the city, in word and deed!”
