Holy Week — Tuesday
Do you sometimes feel like God doesn’t hear you? Does it seem like He’s ignoring your pleas for healing or taking away the pain of a loved one? Are you angry when it looks like God is answering someone else’s prayers, but yours remain unanswered? Ouch. That can hurt.
Martha, sister of Mary and Lazarus from Bethany, felt that pain deep in her soul. Even when the sisters sent desperate word to Jesus (“Lord, the one you love is sick.”), He remained where he was two more days. Watch as Martha unpacks her feelings and shares a message of hope for today.

BE A BRINGER
Family. It’s a word that conjures up feelings. BIG feelings. Being related to someone doesn’t automatically pave the way for harmony and joy. Sometimes family relationships are complex and confusing. You may even be estranged from a loved one — by their choice, your decision or circumstances.
Mary and Martha loved their brother so deeply. Their souls ached as they heard his ragged breaths and saw his life slip away. They asked Jesus for healing and they wailed when it didn’t come. But that wasn’t the end of the story.
Wherever your relationships stand today, it doesn’t have to be the end of your story — or theirs. We encourage you to get on your knees and transparently cry out to God, asking Him to lead you to invite a family member (or multiple relatives) to join you for Good Friday and Easter Sunday services.
He may guide you to share your faith in a way you never have before. He may direct you to reach out to someone you haven’t spoken to in years. He may want you share the joy with a family member you live with. Maybe He wants you to introduce our online services to a loved one who is housebound or lives far away.
Is it time to invite your family members to our joyous Easter celebration?
