While our faith is very personal, it is not meant to be private. It is lived out within the context of a healthy faith community where we listen well and speak the truth in love. Here we both give and receive friendship, encouragement, accountability, and care.
Joining a life group is one way to make our larger church community feel smaller and more personal.
Life groups are typically are 8-12 adults in size and meet weekly in homes, where they enjoy casual conversation, a guided biblical discussion, food, laughter and praying together.
Season of life is very important when seeking to join a group and Richwoods offers the following to help your faith grow.
Couples Only Groups
Couples only groups are broken down into season of life as well, trying to connect those who are just married, married without children, married with children, empty nesters, or retirees.
Mixed Groups
Mixed groups are composed of couples and singles at various stages of life. Those choosing a mixed group may want to experience friendship and growth from those older, younger, or in differing seasons of life.
Men’s Groups
Men’s groups provide an opportunity for men to discuss their unique life challenges and pursue spiritual growth in the context of community.
Women’s Group
Women’s groups provide an opportunity for women to discuss their unique life challenges and pursue spiritual growth in the context of community.
Life Group Leadership
Life Group leaders provide a safe, friendly environment where others can grow in their faith. They don’t have life figured out and don’t have to be biblical scholars, just a desire to facilitate a group. Maybe it’s time for you to take a step towards Life Group leadership. What should our Life Group study?
This is a common question asked by every Life Group at different stages of their group. Richwoods desires to provide our Life Groups with solid, biblical resources in a variety of ways. We offer weekend message curriculum during specific sermon series, various curriculum in our Life Group library at church, as well as online suggestions and resources for Life Groups to purchase on their own.
