The recipe for Wheaties has not changed since it was introduced to the public in the 1930’s, but the box has undergone relevant changes to connect with a new generation of champions. We think being a church should be kind of like that.
The message of peace with God through Christ is at the core of the gospel and it’s at the heart of what we do at Richwoods as we help people find and follow Christ. How we communicate this message—how we “box it up”—is subject to change all the time.
In a world growing with fear and hatred, our human nature tends to respond with a tighter grip on what is familiar and safe. This puts our desire to be a relevant church in a difficult place, especially if we believe that only one method of how to communicate the gospel is the right way.
As a church we are committed to the truth of the gospel and we are committed to communicating that truth in relevant ways to reach a new generation of believers. One of the ways we continue to move with relevance is through the use of social media: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Spotify, and so on. Help us keep the conversation alive all week long by liking and sharing our posts.

On average Richwoods needs to receive $48.3K in gifts to meet its operating expenses, 10% of which goes immediately to Missions and helping people in our community who are experiencing financial troubles.
Our budgets are set on a calendar year, submitted by staff and approved by the Elders of Richwoods. Our ability to meet the needs of the people, provide programs, offer ministry opportunities, and so on, are all contingent on the faithful and generous giving of the people who call Richwoods their church home. As a church we do not take annual pledges to set a budget but we work off of our historical giving and attendance patterns to project a conservative budget.
