Our mission statement at Richwoods is only six words long. The second of these is PEOPLE. People, not programs matter most to us. When we observe Jesus in the Gospels we often read he “felt compassion” for the people. Everything we do at Richwoods is focused helping people move toward Christ.
This past weekend someone dropped a prayer and praise card in the offering that simply said, “Thank you for being my church.” This individual has discovered our heart for them as a church. We can only imagine how, or who reached beyond themselves to make this person feel loved and appreciated. It takes all of us to make Richwoods feel like our church.

On average Richwoods needs to receive $48.3K in gifts to meet its operating expenses, 10% of which goes immediately to Missions and helping people in our community who are experiencing financial troubles.
Our budgets are set on a calendar year, submitted by staff and approved by the Elders of Richwoods. Our ability to meet the needs of the people, provide programs, offer ministry opportunities, and so on are all contingent on the faithful and generous giving of the people who call Richwoods their church home. As a church we do not take annual pledges to set a budget, but we work off of our historical giving and attendance patterns to project a conservative budget.
