Easter represents one of the most significant days of the Christian faith. Not only does it celebrate the historical resurrection of Jesus, it also represents a tremendous opportunity. It seems that many who are not fully connected to Christ, or His church, are open and anxious to attend a place of worship on that day.
That’s why this year we’re going above and beyond in order to share the life-changing message of Jesus. We are hosting 4 services, over 2 days, and at 2 locations. We hope that by doing so we will give all those associated with our church an ample opportunity to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, and to share an invitation with friends, family, and other acquaintance who do not have a place of worship.
A few questions people are asking –
Will all four worship services be the same? YES, they will! Jim will speak at each service and one of our three regular worship bands will be playing. It will be the same order of worship, the same songs, and the same sermon. Just different times, days, and locations.
What are the service times? Saturday night at 5:30 at the Knoxville campus. Sunday morning at 9 & 11 at the Knoxville campus (notice the 9:00 service is 15 minutes earlier than usual that day). And Sunday morning at 10:00 in East Peoria at the Par-a-dice hotel ballroom.
Will Kids ROCK be the same? There will be some variance but not much. For example, we will have kids programs on Saturday night for only children 5 and under. The details for EP site are still being worked out but there will be programs for all kids 10 and under. The two Sunday services on Knoxville will be the same as usual. One thing for sure, they’ll all be excellent!
Do you need help? Yes, we’ll need lots of help to pull this off. Everything from greeters and communion servers, to parking attendants and children’s workers.
postscript: we’ll be launching a new sermon series this weekend too!
